After three years of planning and anticipation, the day finally arrived. While 4;30 a.m. is a horrible hour to get up, we did. Lou very nicely cooked us breakfast (thanks Lou) and off we went. The flights were totally uneventful and we were both amazed at the lack of a lineup at US customs.
The car – how to I describe the car? It is a perfect cherry red mustang convertible. The only drawback – according to Sonja is that it is an automatic and not a standard! Sweet ride either way. We made it to the hotel without getting lost. Next stop – the liquor store so we could meet goal one – sitting by the pool, cold drink in hand, playing backgammon. It was so nice to just relax and listen to the kids playing in the pool. Goal one- accomplished. Goal two – Kennedy Space Center. Stay tuned.
